Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified buildings use environmental resources more efficiently when compared to conventional buildings that are simply built to code. LEED-certified buildings have healthier work and living environments, which contribute to higher productivity and improved employee health and comfort. The United States Green Building Council (USGBC) has also compiled a long list of benefits created by implementing LEED strategies, which range from improving air and water quality to reducing energy consumption and solid waste production, thus benefiting owners, occupiers and society as a whole.
Pure Eco Can Handle ALL of Your Project Needs
LEED is an internationally recognized certification system that measures how well a building or community performs across all the metrics that matter most: energy savings, water efficiency, CO2 emissions reduction, improved indoor air quality, and stewardship of environmental resources and sensitivity to their impacts. Pure Eco has trained LEED experts on staff, known as LEED Accredited Professionals, or LEED AP’s, that can assist you with all of your LEED project needs, from the initial construction planning and building design phase, to project registration, data collection and documentation, all the way through to commissioning and final building certification.
Developed by the USBGC, LEED provides building owners and operators a concise framework for identifying and implementing practical and measurable green building design, construction, operation and maintenance solutions. LEED is flexible enough to apply to buildings, as well as entire communities, commercial and residential. It works throughout the building life cycle – design and construction, operations and maintenance, tenant fit-out and significant retrofits. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in the areas of sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy, atmosphere, materials & resources, indoor environmental quality, awareness & education, and innovation in design.
Experts in LEED Certified, Silver, Gold and Platinum
There are four LEED certification levels: certified, silver, gold and platinum. The level of certification achieved is dependent on how many points are earned in the performance areas mentioned above. There are 100 possible points plus an additional six points available for innovation in design. Participation in the voluntary and technically rigorous LEED process demonstrates leadership, innovation and environmental stewardship.
